Hallis leads Liberty football team to 35-13 nonleague victory

Senior running back Trent Hallis rushed for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns Thursday night to lead the Liberty High School football team to a 35-13 win over Sultana in Hesperia.

Quarterback Devin Dillard completed 7 of 12 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown as the Bison evened their record at 1-1. Parris Peacock added 72 yards on 11 carries. Six different receivers caught passes, including Dominic Hall, who caught a 54-yard touchdown pass.

The Bison will be at home next Thursday, Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m. to play Hesperia.
